Albert is the newest member of the Sisters of the Congo Family.  His story is sad, but it expemplifies the story of most of the children here.

Albert’s mother and father starved to death just a few weeks ago.  He was then left in charge of taking care of his little sister.  Albert did all he could, but just a few days ago his little sister also died of starvation.  Albert was scared, hungry, alone…

Two nights ago he slept in the entryway of a local church.  Unfortunately, when the minister and some of the congregation arrived, they literally chased him away and told him never to return.  He walked around aimlessly and asked the local villagers “Where do you keep your orphans”?   Thanks be to God, one of the villagers sent him our way.  Albert doesn’t know how old he is (no birth certificates in most of the Congo), so Mother Germaine gave him a bath, a meal and a new birthday.  Most importalntly, he now has a new home where he will feel safe and loved.  God has blessed our family greatly today.  May God bless you, our donor, as well.  For every penny you give us goes to helping Albert and his 90 + brothers and sisters.  If you’re feeling extra generous today, know that you are directly helping a small charity do great things.
